Psychotherapy

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults of all ages as well as older adolescents and couples. Currently I am still working remotely, though I will return to some in-person practice hours in the future.

Typically, when we first meet, I will gather a lot of background information about your current concerns, as well as ask questions about you and your personal history. All of this helps me to form a picture of what I think might be most helpful that we can then discuss. A range of potential pathways exist in therapy: from thoroughly understanding the roots of a problem, to actively developing relaxation or coping skills, to learning how to better care for yourself physically or emotionally. It is important to me that we move forward in ways that you feel will be helpful and that inspire hope for healing and change.

In our initial session we will also discuss how frequently it makes sense for us to meet going forward.
